Back in May I shared a quilt I had recently finished for Moxie. It was such a fun, easy pattern that I decided to make a second one for my best friend who was expecting a baby boy ((the same person I made these shirts for)). I found the perfect fabric for the top — Oink-a-Doodle-Moo by Jenn Ski for Moda. Unfortunately the line is out of print, but I was lucky enough to find a shop that still had one charm pack.
The fabric is covered with prints of tractors, horses, and other farm animals. My friend’s toddler has approximately 8,752 toy tractors, so the new baby doesn’t really have a choice but to love them, too.
I was taking my sweet time working on this quilt. I had loads of time to finish it, right? Wrong! My friend sent me a text in June letting me know that her new baby’s birthday had been decided.
I finished the quilt that week, along with the big and lil bro shirts she had requested. By that point I was so excited about how cute the quilt looked that I wanted to share it with everyone. I managed to wait until I gave her the quilt to post a bunch of photos.
I was so excited about giving her this quilt that I forgot to measure it. It may be around 30″x35″. It’s not huge, but it’s great for tummy time or for a toddler to drag around and not trip all over.
